I did fall into a big giant batch of potluck and have only recently pulled myself out! Good thing Christmas is over, because I have been very naughty, and believe you me, I am telling you this with shame and humility, not bravado!
I have been remiss in my duties as (wait, while I think of some made up title please)…ummm how about “Emperess of Eating Right – I mean Light”? Nahhh too long, I won’t be able to remember that one…Any ideas? The holidays and their hustle and bustle about wore me out. I am ready to be back on task! So without further adieu…let’s get to it!
Well anyway back to the story here…I have been very busy over this holiday season trying to keep from eating myself into a food coma, with SEVERAL narrow misses I might add! I finally weighed in yesterday for the first time in 2 weeks and boy was I scared! My leader said, “Hey, how are you? (This very enthusiastically, as she probably feared I had been lost forever to the dark side!), and I said, “Let me tell you how I am, I feel like a very naughty kid, that is reporting for detention and knows darn well they belong there!” But it wasn’t NEARLY as bad as I thought, only up 1 pound, and I was expecting…well about 5 times that at least! My point here is that we all **** up, and some of us ROYALLY at times, but get your self right back on that scale and keep up the good work!
Now for the even better news! I have finished updating the Points Plus values on all of the old posts! Whew, I sure didn’t expect it to take me that long! There are a couple that have not been updated and that is because right at that moment, I couldn’t find the recipe to do so, but I don’t think there are more than 5 of these. I have also left the old points values on there as well in case there are some of you that have not switched over!
So does anyone have any holiday stories, or horror stories, as the case may be, that you would like to share? I will say this, I believe that I am almost incapable of attending a buffet, or pot luck…I have very little, if any self control in that area…can you feel me on this? Oh well, thank goodness it is over for now!
